Plasma IQ – Non Surgical Eyelid Treatment
Plasma IQ is a brand new non-invasive treatment that uses ‘plasma’ to sublimate and contract areas of loose skin.
Currently being called soft surgery as results can be as impressive as eyelid surgery!
Plasma is a heated gas and can be applied through a micro-beam to the target tissue safely treating delicate areas such as the eyelids.
The plasma beam has no affect on the surrounding tissue but will cause tightening and regeneration of the area treated.
This process stimulates new collagen cells so not only will it tighten loose skin and improve the appearance of wrinkles, but it will also improve skin tone and texture and treat scars and other benign skin concerns.
Results can be seen after each session although multiple sessions, usually 6 weeks apart may be needed for optimum results.
Results are permanent but can be repeated if further ageing causes recurrence of the original skin changes.
Ideal to treat any of the following:
Ideal to treat any of the following:
-
Drooping eyelids

Areas of fine lines and wrinkles eg top lip or crows feet
-
Skin laxity and crepiness
How many treatments are needed?
Typically, more than one treatment is required to achieve optimum results; however this varies from patient to patient and on the procedure being carried out. Plasma IQ though does deliver visible results even after the first session. Sessions can be based 6 weeks or 6 months apart to suit.
How long do results last?
The treatment provides a permanent result. This means that the affect does not wear off after a set period of time, however normal ageing will occur and treatments can be repeated.
Is there any downtime?
Most patients experience some swelling of the area for 24-48hr (especially when the eyes are treated). It is normal to have pinprick brown dots on the skin after treatment for approximately 7 days. These are the areas or carbonated tissue and regeneration of the skin is occurring underneath, therefore it is important not to pick these off until they naturally fall off after approximately 1 week. During this time mineral make up can be applied.
